About Our Church

We are a growing church in the Heber Springs area that wants to impact our community! We are a loving church that desires to draw people closer to God. We want to start a fire for God that reaches the lost in our world. Right now we are trying to focus on bringing younger families in. The Sunday morning message: During the worship service, we have messages that are made to relate to today's culture. Sometimes the sermons have video clips that connect with the audience and help reinforce the lesson that was taught. During the morning message, we provide lessons for small children. During the entire worship service, we provide nursery. The Sunday morning worship: We are bringing in new songs on a regular basis. We have a praise team of 5 singers that leads in worship. We have a piano and a keyboard that provide the music. We would love for other musicians to come along and use their talents for God, specifically some guitarists. The youth group: The youth group stays very active. They do some kind of major activity pretty much every month. Every Wednesday night, they have a full hour of hanging out with friends, playing games, and activities outside (weather permitting) before we go into our hour of class time. The youth group is not just about having fun - they also receive solid Biblical teaching. If your family is looking for a church home, we believe we have a great place for you to be a part of.

Statement of Beliefs

Our church is an independent Christian church.  We are non-denominational in the sense that we do not have a denominational headquarters.  Non-denominational doesn't mean that we don't have a set of beliefs.  We do have a set of beliefs which we try to keep simple.  At the same time, we welcome people from all backgrounds, and we currently have several families that worship with us that are from different backgrounds. We try to be a church that focuses on UNITY - Eph 4. Therefore, we will try to emphasize SALVATION issues only so that we don't get caught up in minor disputes - 2 Tim. 2:14, 22-24.  That doesn't mean that we do not try to follow the Bible on smaller issues.  In fact, we try to follow the Bible as closely as possible.  But, the leadership of this church (elders, deacons, minister) has decided to focus on the most important things and not get caught up in arguments that do not affect our salvation. You are saved by GRACE through FAITH in Jesus Christ, not by any works that you do - Eph 2:8-9 You can receive this grace by having FAITH  that Jesus' sacrifice on the cross is the only way your sins can be washed away, by CONFESSING Jesus as Lord, by REPENTING of your sins (turning away from your sinful way of living), and by being BURIED with Christ through BAPTISM - Mark 16:16, Rom. 10:9-10, Acts 2:38, Rom. 6:1-4. Live faithfully for Him until He calls you home! - 2 Pet. 1:5-10
